¿Question #4628?
Gialmere: True Life Gaming: Did you ever agree to an alliance in a game like "Diplomacy" or "A Game of Thrones" knowing that you would backstab everyone as soon as it was your turn?
Woelf: Isn't that kinda the point in those games?
MrRagerDk: Yes
Spirit of 70: No.
Almighty Dave: There's no other way to play Diplomacy, as far as I know.
ithicks: Yep
Pigs Breakfast: Sure.
Blade Spirit: *cough* Maybe...
TheKeck: Ummm, everyone... no. Maybe a little.
thedude05: Yep
w0rf: All the time in Risk.
.JcK.: Well... yes. It's not how those games are supposed to be played? No?! Oops.
Sceadeau: heh, who hasn't
DHEK: Never played alliance games like that, but I might resort to that, if I knew it was something that they would never recover from and that I knew it would give me the win.
jidar: Yep.
aleo09: no.
Grym: Yes
seppo21: No. Lying is a sin. That's probably why I've never been particularly interested in games that promote outright lying.
Ebon Wendigo: Oh , yeah
ThatFalafelGirl: hmm. no, but to be fair, i don't think i've played any of those type games
Geosmores: yes
2amp: no, because everyone would remember that in the next game & act accordingly
Annoy Mous: Nope
Skeletor: no, i openly tell everyone im a backstabber, then attack everyone
rawdawg: oh yeah
scriptorum: Ah, well, yes. In Diplomacy. But that's the nature of the game, you go into it knowing that misdirection is a key strategy.
ryokowerx: Yes... and I have no regrets
SisyphusX: Nope.
Chris Page: No.
POvidiusNaso: Nope.
jasta6: yes!
Kazin: No. People who don't backstab like a gentleman are known as "pact-breakers", and songs are sung about them for years.
lordgro: ;) Nope. Waiting for betrayal is much more fun.
skrutsch: no
Adiegirl: That's part of the fun, isn't it?
bigbadsteve: I believe so, yes
Loquutus: Haven't played either, but yes I would.
skrebs: It's the whole point of Nuclear War.
mgringo: No. True backstabs are best applied after more than one turn.
dietevil: I plead the 5th
Bandit Ripshawd: I've done that in Risk a bunch.
ZombyDawg: Yes, and I've snuck extra pieces onto the board in Diplomacy.
brainrob: Of course - in Machivelli
puffinge: that's part of the game, but people have a tendency to remember this type of behavior
JamesT: Yes
djlg: Yes
GrandpaDave: Never played those, but I backstab all the time in Risk
CDRodeffer: Yes.
skelebone: I've not played either of those games.

Spielfreak: no
jttm: Nope
CortexBomb: Absolutely
