¿Question #4639?
erli: Why are males more inclined towards geekiness than females?

Jedadeana: .........excuse me?!
pricero1: Penises.
spevbot: bigger brains. its science.
Randy Cox: FAA
Felimid: We can't resist, and females are irresistable.
Psylocide: Because it's more acceptable.
MisterCranky: I can't remember.
dlaurent: You know the answer to that.
jellospike: I'm not even sure if that is true. There are definitely male-dominated areas of geekiness, but in general, you see tons of geeky females. Of course, it all depends on your definition of "geeky".
Hendal: HArd to be Geeky with nice Boobs
Chris Page: Less same-sex peer pressure to keep them away.
novoman: females are inclined towards nymphomania, you just need to encourage it...
Woelf: Society teaches that female geekiness is "uncool", so most geeky tendencies are beaten out of females at a very young age. Generally, only the geekiest of the geeky survive childhood unscathed, although there are some rare cases of post-high school regression back into geekiness.
ricardofo: they are worry about body care and children
Bloodybucket: Because femaies exist and males are aware of it.
Frubgarde: I think it's an aspect of the old "Men specialise, women multi-task" thing.
Evonine: Personally, I dont' think they are. I think women just don't admit that certain behaviors that are pervasive throughout women are just as geeky as anything men do. For example, if you do any kind of crafting, chances are you have done it to the point of being a craft geek. Or cared about fashion to the point of being a fashion geek. For some reason the things that females tend to get geeky about are just seen as being more socially acceptable... perhaps becasue in some ways women really do run society.
fenwic: I would say there is different kinds of geekiness for each gender. Are you familiar with Cosplay? That is a female-dominated geek world.
Meisterchow: Lack of boobs to touch.
ZeroZilla: Personally, I think it's an adverse reaction to the expectation for males to be 'macho'. Just a thought.
tempus42: Female what?
ManlyWan: It is all based on the type of geekiness in question.
DHEK: Maybe it's because males tend to be more fascinated with puzzles and thinking and stuff like that. Stuff that's required in every geek-type hobby.
elirlandes: Because females are wonderful and amazing. We are not.
Benzebub: Genetic predisposition.
ilikeribs: Because we can focus.
One Fat Pug: Look at us. Now look at them. Clear enough?
aleo09: it's in the genes
Leo-T: must be in the genes
Boraxia: Genetics
produceguy1765: why dont you ask them
Shade_Jon: fiddlyness and obsessiveness.
puffinge: jealous?
KentuckyKid: We're just that way.
Skikr: No male geek will ever be able to find the answer to that!
anonInternetName: Less inclined to care what other people think about us perhaps.
ryokowerx: Yes
RacingGun: They are?
Helenoftroy: not sure, women are fickle creatures. I can explain them less than you can.
heavymetalhamster: I believe females just supress their geeky side.
SisyphusX: Males are less afraid of social isolation.
eddyspaghetti: They channel it differently, and it then becomes acceptable. A unicorn or spoon collection is cute.
vampywife: females are moulded to be "girly" and to enjoy shopping and make-up. a select few of us broke that mould and enjoy gaming instead :)
Shotmagnet: yes, but only because females can be geeky and still find a non-geek mate. it makes no sense, but that's how the universe operates
ChrisHSLeach: And shoe/clothes/makeup fetisches arent geeky ?
Debate: Because socially inept males, having to do the asking in dating, tend to revert to introversion while females can generally sit around and wait to be asked out, increasing their self confidence and extraversion
bigbadsteve: women just hide it better
LemonyFresh: Good question. Are you sure that's true, though?
jasta6: Your looking through Male eyes, they are all over the place.
Great Dane: We are not, we just geeky in different ways
djlg: It just happens to be the definition of "geekiness". We could come up with a new word that includes sad, introverted females with weird hobbies like knitting, flower arranging and cats.
Loquutus: Because its much easier for them to get laid.
Tushratta: I don't agree that that's true. Women are just geeky in different ways.
ASLChampion: Females take more showers
skrutsch: Why are males more likely to have autism?
mrbeankc: Females are, they're just better able to hide it.
Cavedog_pdx: Men relate by doing. Women relate by talking and sharing feelings. If you want to be friends with a woman, you talk and you share feelings. If you want to be friends with a man, you do something. We men make our best friends by doing something together that we're passionate about. For some of us, we're passionate about some really non-mainstream stuff and that's totally cool. I wouldn't have it any other way!
heli: According to Jungian theory of personality types, of the 4 characteristics, Thinking vs. Feeling is the only one which differs by gender. More men are T (decide things based on logic) and more women are F (decide things based on feelings). We are said to be born with our personality types. So maybe it's genetic.
skelebone: I think that's a flawed supposition.
CDRodeffer: In a patriarchal society, probably. In a matriarchal society, probably not.
Lord_Prussian: A great unanswered question
CortexBomb: You're asking an eternal question that I have no answers for
chaddyboy_2000: I have no idea.
Spielfreak: Blame it on Barbi
erli: I hope you at least change your underwear Tang
jttm: We don't feel the need to bathe so often.
