¿Question #4720?
Gialmere: True Life Gaming: Did you ever play a game that you loved as a kid, only to end up wondering why the hell you loved the game when you were a kid?
the manatee: Yes. That's why it doesn't pay to revisit those childhood memories. Likewise with movies/TV shows; don't rewatch 'em, just live with the memories.
DMF2: No.
Woelf: No, because I know that my gaming tastes have changed/improved since I was a kid. Although, several of those games I liked then are still good.
Jatoha: yes
shumby: no way! still love em all.
hancock.tom: Oh yes... I loved a lot of crappy games as a kid because I mistook being in love with the theme for having fun.
daveroswell: Not really, that happens more with tv shows and movies. I guess most roll and moves fall in that category (like the Happy Days Game)
MisterCranky: Nope. I only ended up wondering why the hell I ever grew up.
Zarion of Arabel: yes
Aardvarkius: Yes, Monopoly.
derekjinx: Maybe Talisman for the the theme and artwork.
ropearoni4: nothing better was around. Life the boardgame.
Hector Vortac: die Macher. And I used to win a lot when I was about 9.
Gibbo: Yep.
Wes Hope: Nostalgia carries all before it
zoe79: Tag....what was with all that needless running?
Santeler: Yes
KrisVerbeeck: monopoly
ironsizide: I'd have to say no.
Benzebub: Yes.
DHEK: Nope. I didn't really play that many boardgames as a kid.
Cmot Dribbler: yep
Mr.Baggins: Yes. The Game of Life (not the crappy board game, the actual one).
eddyspaghetti: And I felt sorry for my parents who always said OK.
Scootergsp: Too often
POvidiusNaso: Yes. Fireball Island.
sdonohue: Yes! I played WaterWorks, which isn't a bad game, but my parents would only let us play it as a special treat.
diehard4life: several
ZiggyZambo: no
Chris Page: Bonkers. File 13.
scriptorum: Not really. I pretty much thought Monopoly sucked back then too.
Greedo: Can't say that I have.
Agyar900: Yes! Divine Right
dmomo: No. It's usually obvious.
duLac956: Only card games
Cut & Space: Yes... Go Hungry Hippo!!!
Cromaa: No
Embark: yes
jasta6: Richthofen's War..................................................................................
mlanza: No, it seems perfectly reasonable to outgrow kids games.
Helenoftroy: Outburst
NCognito: Yes
fFish: Most of them, I worked out they suck while I was still a kid.
brainrob: No ... I realise there is a difference between me as a kid and me now
ZombyDawg: Monopoly

shizzane: Sure, don't we all?
skudfisher: Many of the games I played as a child I now find insanely boring.
BaSL: no
javelin98: Yep. And not just games -- movies, TV shows, sweet treats, etc.
skrutsch: No. I was a kid. Kids are weird.
Dorque: Nope. That's why you shouldn't play old games, just collect them.
Jim_P: Yes
djlg: No
jttm: No
erli: All the time!
Randy Cox: We played NBC/Hasbro Vegas to death as kids. A friend found someone with that game when I was about 25 years old, so I got it again. We played it. It hasn't been played since.
ststrat: No
Lord_Prussian: Yes
chaddyboy_2000: Nope.
CDRodeffer: No. I was a good discerner of gaming quality from the get-go.
skelebone: Yes, but that's the folly of youth.
puffinge: yes, Conflict. And several tv shows too.
CortexBomb: I don't worry about it too much. Kids have limited experience, and as such, things which seem inane to us as adults can endlessly captivate them due to the newness of the experience
CharlieWonka: No
Spielfreak: I've had that experience with TV shows, but never with games.
