¿Question #4741?
puffinge: Have you ever informed someone that they stink? How did you tell them?

mattomaw: Straight up told them.
PolarDad: I teach 7th grade boys... Yes, frequently. I tell them privately to help them save face.
nathanoj_O: passive aggressive self sniffing.
The Monstrous Jake: "Dude. You smell really, really, really bad."
Jatoha: Yes, I had to tell a student that he should probably bathe more often. I hope I was kind.
Spirit of 70: No.
FunkyBlue: "Dude, do you a rotting koala hidden on you somewhere?
Hendal: yes, lets talk outside cause you are very ripe ' just 3 days ago. I had to tell a French guide to shower before a tour because he stank so bad, he siad he just had, I said well do it again and use soap this time
slate43: Placed a can of deoderant in their locker.
hob69: Don't think so.

vandemonium: Yes, I said "you stink"
cmchavis: Yes - Febreezed their chair with them in it.
Blott: Yes. I politely mentioned that they might need to refresh their deoderant.
ZeroZilla: One time, and this is a true story, when we were working out of my Boss' basement, there was a terrible odor in there... keep in mind that his toddling children, and his dog freqented the area. One of my coworkers then took it upon himself to have a (no joke) twenty-minute conversation with me about the need for me to shower every day. I would have hit him, I was so mad...only he would have totally creamed me, being a firefighter in his other job. Still, grrr.
ctrzn: dude!!! It's called soap (no really my neice on xmas after playing DDR)
Brad Oliver: Yes - "you stink."
Myrdin T Sasnak: Yes. I usually ask them where the used tampon sale is.
POvidiusNaso: Yup. I said, "You stink, mogambo."
Benzebub: Iceman, [Sniff] you stink.
DHEK: I think once or twice, many many years ago. I think I just brought the subject openly (but not necessarily directly) with the person, but not to the point it is rude or causes too much embarassment. Something along the lines of "Hey, did you get something on your shirt? Coz it doesn't smell too good" or something along those lines... maybe they will get the hint.
Nimrod6: Yes, "Wash your dirty ass!"
PopeBrain: Yes. I said, you smell like shit, take a shower.
chockle: Yes. "Man, you really stink!"
spartax: Carefully. Very very carefully.
prolifekilledmywife: Probably, and if I have, probably directly.

007wastaken: Yep, hmm the message got through
arkibet: yes, in a very direct manner away from all other people.
puffinge: I have done this. I was honest but considerate.
djlg: No. NA.
erli: Yes, I always inform this one person that he smells and I'm usually very direct about it. It's better to be direct because people won't always understand why you give them a bar of soap or deodorant every day.
chaddyboy_2000: Nope.
Randy Cox: I'm pretty sure I've uttered the words "Damn, you smell" before. But only to my nearest and dearest friends. Is there something you want to tell me?
ststrat: no
jttm: Uhh, Bill... look... there's no easy way... to say this... but... well, Here! A gift basket of soaps and shampoos!
skelebone: Yes, but only in the sweetest way.
CDRodeffer: Only my daughter when her diapers were dirty.
CortexBomb: Not that I recall
