¿Question #4762?
Gialmere: True Life Gaming: When you are playing a game and suddenly realize that you are going to win, do you tell the other players, or do savor the moment - letting them twist in the wind until they figure it out for themselves?

ocdspectrum: More the latter.
DarrellKH: Generally, the latter, but it depends on the crowd.
Woelf: I generally don't mention it, because unless it's at the point where there's absolutely nothing left the players can do to stop you, prematurely announcing victory tends to make everyone else focus on stopping you.
kellvyn: Twist in the wind, for sure. More than once I've declared victory prematurely and then been beaten because I forgot a rule.
Auramine O: It always shows on my face. I can't hide it!
Felimid: Keep it to myself as much as possible (especially since I so rarely win games ... at least when playing experienced players).
kyle4_12: savour
Spirit of 70: Savor.
mummykitty: Depends on the game, but usually the latter. With the group I play with you can never be too careful.
Junichirou: I try not to let people hang that way. If I know I've won, I'll say it. That way, there's more time for another game!
Ahiksking: Depends on the opposition. Friends or strangers.
ozjesting: I wait til it is all said and done, just in case I was wrong
derekjinx: twist in the wind
Jeff Horger: I have never announced a win ahead of time. I usually don't even track it myself. I just play to the end and if I win, I win.
Couggar: savor the moment if I can contain it ;) I get to excited usually but I like the sudden gasp at the end. :)
Evonine: Usually savor the moment. Just because I can't win doesn't mean I have to make it easy for them to win.
DKahnt: savor
CthIngo: Depends
2amp: i warn them to stop me if they can
atrium: latter
BagpipeDan: Savor
Morgan: Let them twist in the wind.
Geosmores: Savor
leegb1: The latter. The look of recognition that your opponent is in a hopelessly irretrievable state of defeat, is quite simply, priceless.
King Zombie: if it's inevitiable I'll win or loose I'll say to stop the game and start a new one :)
tipigi: let them figure it out
DHEK: I usually let them find out when it happens. Anyway it's a safety measure because sometimes they can still spoil your plans if you tell them prematurely.
Sceadeau: I actually always assume I'm going to win.
beakermyers: Depends
kmcdougan: I savor the moment, unless it has been forever since I won, then I wait until they cannot stop it, let them know, and gloat as I seal the deal, one agonizing turn at a time.
TheArchAngel: find out for themselves
arkibet: I pray they don't notice
POvidiusNaso: I try to keep quiet. I want the other players to think they have a chance - it makes it more fun during the game, and more shocking afterwards.
aleo09: savor , by all means savor the moment, b/c if it suddenly turns bad and i don't win , than i would look like a fool\
jeffwolfe: One time I chose the former and then didn't actually win, so now I just shut up and wait for the game to end.
Leo-T: let'm twist
Ebon Wendigo: Let them figure it out
Chris Page: Depends on whether they can do anything about it.
joebelanger: Twistin' in the wind!
Cut & Space: Let them realize, but they quickly do, courtesy of my non-poker-face
jasta6: let them figure it out themselves..................................
Dorque: Nope.
FrozenHoHos: I let 'em hang until the end. And I only gloat when provoked.
scriptorum: I do neither, keep your eye on the ball and keep trying to win because hubris may beget a surprise downfall.
vampywife: Just let them figure it out if they haven't already.
Shotmagnet: like I ever win
WatchmanX2000: depends on who I am playing
Fawkes: Nah, they usually figure out that they're doomed.
Helenoftroy: No, I find a strategy to completely demolish the other player just in case I am not really winning and just think I am. There is always something that I could have missed.
ChaosOrdeal: If the game is a snooze, I try to wrap it up quickly, if my opponent talks trash, I rub their face in it.
jellospike: The second one.
Desmondloki: tell them
billgoode: Definatly savor the moment. Partially because I enjoy surprising them, and also because I don't want to be embarassed if for some reason I don't win.
MisterCranky: I generally don't ever realize that I'm going to win...I just do it and act surprised, like everybody else.
Loquutus: I probably already told them several times, even before the game started.
ctskas: twist baby like we did last summer
darthcliff: Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. And hear the lamentations of the women.
chillrunr: tell them, we may want to just end it and move on to another game
MochaKimono: I hide it. They might outsmart me if I let on.
ZombyDawg: If I know I'm going to win I mention it. If I know I can't win I mention that, too (and whine a little).
xlorp: Supervillains should never taunt the underdog heroes until the pieces are taken off the table and put back into the box.
puffinge: quietly proud
jttm: No
themagni: It depends on the game. If it's a strategy game, then never. If it's a fun game, then yes I will. If it's the first time playing a game, no matter what genre, I will always point out potential strategies, even if they will royally bone me.
erli: I prefer stealth not to mention PR.
chaddyboy_2000: I just wait until everyone figures it out.
CDRodeffer: I savor the moment.
Randy Cox: I don't look that far ahead to realize anyone has a game locked.
Tushratta: Let 'em twist
Lord_Prussian: I've done both
CortexBomb: I like making them twist
Spielfreak: Let 'em twist. More likely than not I've miscalculated, and wind up losing anyway.
skelebone: Let them twist -- also, the game isn't over, there are no certainties.
