¿Question #4784?
Gialmere: True Life Gaming: Have you ever taken the time to memorize several famous chess openings, only to find that the people you play with have never heard of them much less know the correct counter moves?
ocdspectrum: People still play chess?

Elianto: luckly no
Woelf: The fact that there are so many "famous" Chess openings and countermoves that can be memorized is exactly why so many people hate Chess.

ValJor: I know quite a few chess openings (tons, really) but I play in tournaments, so my opponents always know them, sometimes better than me
Tushratta: Yes.
jasta6: No
