erli: If you are playing a game that you are doing exceptionally well in (exceptional as in "winning the game") do you show mercy to your opponents or do you complete the smackdown?

Phil Fleischmann: Smackdown, if I can. Too often, you can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by being "merciful" when you're winning, especially in a well-designed game.
