¿Question #4918?
Randy Cox: If, when you purchase/lease your next car, a hybrid is available for the same price as other models, will you go with the hybrid model?

diemacher: Most electricity in the US is made by burning fossil fuels
Woelf: Very likely, yes.
BOBBYCAN: No.
Felimid: Probably.
weed131: yes
Der Ubermolch: I would totally go for the hybrid.
kb10r: Yes
desmodus: I hope that in the future we have no longer the choice. Every car should be environmental friendly like hydrids.
Solocutor: If I can find one cheap, why not?
IdahoGeekette: IF I could afford one, yes, I would definitely go hybrid. Unfortunately cheap cars are all gas guzzlers :)
Tushratta: No.
evil lincoln: If a hybrid model was say a human/horse i would imagine the human part would be very hot as she is a model, but i think the horse part would be a dealbreaker
Phil Fleischmann: Most likely. Though I'd prefer a plug-in hybrid, or all-electric.
puffinge: I would be tempted, but I have had so much success with Corollas that I hate to change.
cgund: Definitely.
weevol: yes
vandemonium: Sure enough!
Evonine: Definetly, as long as everything else is as good (no skimping on other features)
2ndinBeautyContest: Don't kn ow
catosulla: nope
paattymaton: hybrid
CyberneticZombie: car? whatcha talking about? I'm an American, which means a big honkin' truck or SUV for me :P
RichCsigs: yes
CharmlessMan77: yeah, hybrid all the way
DHEK: If the fuel that goes with the hybrid model is easily available plus the cost of the fuel isn't too expensive and the disadvantages (if any) of a hybrid car aren't too significant, then yes I'd go for a hybrid car.
Onionking: Absolutely
sandysidamo: Yes!
aleo09: i would if it were available
PsyJam: Probably.. have you seen the price of gas recently?!
scriptorum: Why would anyone not go for a hybrid model if it's the same price?
drsingle: Yes. (I've had a hybrid since 2002).
niels: yes
echdareez: Absolutely
greglios: Possibly. I don't know much about cars and have never owned one.
tdabomb: yes
Dorque: Yup.
Dr. No: yes
Cromaa: Nope
bigbadsteve: probably not, i like the idea, but for now, its still too expensive to repair if something goes wrong
MisterCranky: A hybrid? A mule? A car that cannot reproduce? I want my car to have babies, and then I'll have an endless supply of cars.
Nekura: Yes
vampywife: maybe, i like the idea of saving on a bit of gas.
residuetiger: Sure
Firepigeon: yes, the key here is: "a hybrid is available for the same price as other models"
Avatar_69: Absolutely. and then see me upgrade to a Hydrogen car
scribidinus: Yes, $3+ per gallon and 18.5 MPG is killing me.
heli: already have one
Helenoftroy: I want one anyway unless America has finally thought about public transportation in a larger scale.
Loquutus: yes
dietevil: yeah
stephensj23: Yes, of course. But it isn't the same price. It is more, even considering the fuel savings.
Quest22: Yes
LemonyFresh: perhaps
Scott Tepper: absolutely
brainrob: No
SatanicEssence: Yes
skrutsch: probably
shizzane: Definitely. Tax break baby! And cheaper to drive. But we've got a ways to go before the hybrids are competitively priced.
ctgamer: If it does 0-60 in under 5 seconds - yes
jellospike: yes, but I'm not buying a car anytime soon.
ssmooth: All else being equal, sure
rucky: yupp
MochaKimono: Sure.
modboy: without a doubt
Tim Synge: No. No.
GI Joe: Not sure-- I haven't done enough research yet on the long term effects of such ownership.
skelebone: I probably will not buy a hybrid for some time, since I somewhat prefer performance to economy. That being said, my and my wife's cars average 29-33 mpg in the city.
Dave: Yeah, that's probably the only way I can get the wife to agree to get a car.
chaddyboy_2000: It depends on how reliable they are, as well as repair costs. I have a feeling that that the repair costs on a hybrid are significantly higher.
Lord_Prussian: Most likely
jttm: Yes
Spielfreak: YES!
CortexBomb: For the same price? Absolutely
CDRodeffer: At the same price? Absolutely!
