¿Question #4940?
Randy Cox: If you were attending a boardgaming convention and someone asked you to play Mousetrap in the open gaming ballroom (with lots of other people around), would you? How 'bout Pit? Monopoly? Charades?
Firedrake: Only if I liked them.
Hendal: nope, maybe, nope, nope
Myok: Mousetrap? Yes. Pit? Yes. Monopoly? For real money. Charades? Oh sure why not, I've got to put these acting skills to use once in a while.
Felimid: Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Peads: I'd play Pit. Over anything else there. Pit with 8 players is pure mayhem/havoc/awesome fun. However, I wouldn't play of the others.
DasViktor: MouseTrap, sure! Monopoly--I try to cut the fool's head off with the edge of the board. Might take three days.
Woelf: Sure, unless I was in the middle of (or about to begin) some other game.
Phil Fleischmann: No, but I might just build the trap and play *with* it. Maybe, I have before. Probably not. Yes, definitely.
ricardofo: Monopoly, yes
MisterCranky: Sure, building the mousetrap is fun. And I've done that with Monopoly: Stock Market, so I guess I'd do it with Pit or Charades, although either of those might impinge a bit on the sanguinity of the rest of the crowd.
cgund: Totally! Whimsical change of pace.
Hector Vortac: I already have in the cases of Charades and Pit; with the right people I'd say yes to the rest.
Blott: No, Yes, No, Maybe
bigbadsteve: sure, unless it means i dont get to play any other games
hancock.tom: I'd play mousetrap because of the fond childhood memories, but I can't say I'd play any of the others. There are just better things to play at a con unless its a game you've got some kind of sentimental attachment to one of the games.
Songlian: No to Mousetrap, but I'd play Pit - that actually gets played at some of my game nights as an opener. No to Monopoly and I'd suggest Time's Up instead of Charades.
jcarvin: For a lark...sure
DHEK: I'd play any game if it seems like it will be fun because of the game or the company.
jjloc: yes, yes, yes, yes
Butterbane: Sure. i'm not proud
White Stone: Sure. Although I'd wonder why the ballroom wasn't used for dancing instead.
slagbeast: only life size mousetrap
aleo09: funny question, i would play pit, but probably not the others. i guess it pays to have your own games available
noisycrow: Yes. Definitely. Probably not. No.
Leo-T: Mousetrap - ok. Pit - no, wouldn't want to bother everyone else. Monopoly - no,don't care for it. Charades - maybe.
Red Dragon: Pit would annoy other people, Monopoly would annoy me, Charades would annoy other people AND me. As for Mouse Trap, I wouldn't care if it annoyed other people, I'd play it anyway just for the heck of it.
suncrush: Yes to all except Monopoly. I don't like Monopoly.
Ebon Wendigo: Possibly
Thesp: I'd probably look for better games.
Favre4MVP: No. Why would I want to waste my time with those?
greglios: No thanks but if you wanna set up the trap and set it going I'll stay and watch!
Cut & Space: Depend who's asking...
brainrob: No No No No
Cromaa: No. No. No. No.
vampywife: yes, don't know the game, yes, and yes.
hacksword: Sure.
Avatar_69: Yes, but it would depend on who else was playing
dralius: Pit for sure, Mouse trap only if we could make a big production out of it so everyone would watch.
Dandelion: Mousetrap - yes. Pit - never played. Monopoly - doesn't interest me. Charades - depends
dwarf: No.
NCognito: No
Cavedog_pdx: If he was cute and giving me a vibe I'd totally follow him around.
Chris Page: Probably. Depends on my voice. No. Depends on with whom.
Platinum Dragon: I've always wanted to play mousetrap.
Loquutus: No. Already did. Sure not. Maybe.
rawdawg: no no no no
skrutsch: maybe, yes, no (unless there were special rules), no
Igloo cool: How cute? Oh wait, its a board gaming convention...
Tailuje: If there were other, better games to spend my time playing? Fat chance!
flyinghogfish: Why not
POvidiusNaso: I'd play Mousetrap and Pit, but not the other two.
Snappatoon: No, yes, yes, no
dogberry: Yes. Yes, absolutely. Never. Yes, and have.
ctalbot: Yes, yes, yes and only if there was beer involved.
ssmooth: Charades will be better in the Board Room, where there'll be less noise overlap between your game and the others.
skelebone: I'd probably play Mousetrap, Charades, and Pit, but not Monopoly.
Lord_Prussian: No, I doubt it, maybe, not likely.
chaddyboy_2000: Sure, why not, ok, what the hell.
djlg: Nope. Nope. Nope. I've got better things to do.
sos1: No. No. No. Yes.
jttm: Nope
Spielfreak: It depends on the people.
Randy Cox: I'd probably play any of them. In fact, I have played both Charades and Pit at conventions (Bill, you're a wuss if you're worried about agitating a couple of Paths of Glory open gamers). I'd probably least enjoy Mousetrap.
puffinge: I certainly wouldn't be embarrassed to play them. Well, maybe a little, but that wouldn't stop me. I might pass on Pit due to worries about how much noise that game can generate.
heli: I did play Pit at the Gathering.
CortexBomb: No, no, no, no...and it's not about being seen playing the game so much as not wanting to play it period. The other factor is the negative advertising that it would cause for board games in general: one of the hardest things to do is to make people understand that there are new games out there, and that are suitable for adults to play. Playing older, kid's style games would only make us lose ground in that regard
CDRodeffer: If I wasn't scheduled for another event in the near future, I'd play Mousertrap, Pit and Monopoly only to the first bankruptcy. But I wouldn't play Charades.
