¿Question #4942?
Randy Cox: Did you own any Hot Wheels (TM) as a kid? Was that during the day with the angled wheels and the orange track you connected together with the magenta connectors?
ocdspectrum: Yes to the cars, but no track. Still have 50 or so of them.
pwilz: Yes, I had a ton of Hot Wheels. Yes, I had orange tracks, but I inherited those from my brothers.
MARCUSRPG: Oh, yeah.
oldhoss: Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. I had a black track with black connectors and a red, white and blue track with clear connectors. All tolled, we had over 150 feet of track. We'd start the track in the dining room on top of the china cabinet and run the track through the kitchen and down the stairs into the family room.
Woelf: Yes, and I still own several. The track we had was black with yellow connectors - but I think it may have actually been a MatchBox set rather than Hot Wheels (back when they were competitors, not owned by the same company).
the manatee: Yes, not sure (I don't remember angled wheels), and yes.
puzzlemonkey: You bet. And the lever that you pushed down on that was supposed to launch the car around the track each lap, but never worked.
aradraug: No. There were no Hot Wheels in our country when I was a kid.
Jatoha: yupper
MisterCranky: Why don't you ask Phil Fleischmann's friggin' genie?
Blott: Yes to everything. I loved Hot Wheels.
bdwhite: I had many cars andthe important orange track. I got a set on Christmas that was an oval with lever action to keep the cars going. It had a high bank curve and red white and blue striped track.
