¿Question #571?
bentlarsen: Among the companies that design wargames, which one is the best? Why?
pronoblem: from what I have played, GMT... looking at p500 and MMP's IGS series I see a lot of promise.
DHEK: Huh... I dunno, dude... I don't play any of the wargames you probably mean (the counter and map kind).
Darksan: GMT is the best.
gamingguy: GMT -- great pre-order system, great bits, great rules, great online resources...
CDRodeffer: SPI -- they ROCK!
snoozefest: Columbia; 'cause I generally don't like wargames, but my one game of HotS and 1 Wizard Kings was pretty good. Nice block mechanism.
Mark_WH: Columbia Games and MMP
Blackwind: GMT makes some awesome wargames.
chaddyboy_2000: Injection molding.
CortexBomb: I like the look of Columbia, but I'm not really qualified to say
Aldie: I don't really play that many wargames to make an informed answer.
scribidinus: Individuals design games for different companies. Sometimes the design comes first and is then shopped around for a publisher or in some cases a well known designer is approached by a publisher and asked to design a game on a particular subject.
Draugnar: Avalon Hill. They just seem to get it right.
Nomadik: Games Workshop has the most comprehendable understandable rules I've ever read for any of their games.
skelebone: I don't really play wargames.
