¿Question #707?
CortexBomb: Should ,,GeekQuestions" be restricted only to questions as such, or are some of the other ideas (Explain, Estimate, Prove, etc) worthy?

Woelf: Mooooo
Hendal: what ever you want to throw at us man, bring it on, we can take it, and dish it out, and deal with it, and love it, and hug it, and sgueeze it, and pet it.
Randy Cox: There are no rules for GeekQuestions.
daveroswell: As long as they aren't pure statements, it should be fine
Fred West III: Questions only.
Aetheros: The middle answer.
hob69: Then they wouldn't be Geek questions, would they?
erwinrd: All questions have the potential to be worthy - it's only limited by the quality of the question. So, no.
diehard4life: Those are questions.
jtrleone: Restricted to questions. Definitely.
PopeBrain: One time, I had a new dirtbike. I took a little red wagon and put a piece of 1/4 inch plywood on it to make a jump. I rode my bike to the top of the hill and beat hell down to hit the jump. When I hit it, the board broke and I hit the wagon and went flipping ass over teakettle all the way down the gravel driveway. I was bleeding all over - my head, my arms, my legs. That sucked.
DHEK: The system as it is now is fine. No restrictions.
Butterbane: No restrictions! Keep our freedom!
monkeyrobot: No limits. That´s the spiit for me
diemacher: Questions are better
POvidiusNaso: Those are pretty much questions.
aleykat: Only questions
sdonohue: Anything that makes them less boring and inane is good.
Redbeardin84: Green
Ebon Wendigo: No restrictions
scriptorum: I don't mind letting anyone ask any kind of question, but there should be a way of separating the wheat from the chaff. Now if only someone can tell me if chaff is the bad thing or not, I'll be all set.
duron600: Yes. Good way of activating the collective mind of the geek-hive.
rAdioActivitA: GeekQuestions should never be restricted at all even if some of them are pointless, obnoxious, boring, not funny, or otherwise skipable.
hacksword: No restrictions
SatanicEssence: Just Questions
FrozenHoHos: Please elaborate.
John3: others are worthy
DrFlanagan: questions
vampywife: whatever makes you happy
Harlan: Geek Questions should be anything open to the mind of Man (in the generic species-member sense, no sexism here). I can always leave blank to skip. Though if I really leave blank, I'll miss it . . .
Shotmagnet: yes
jellospike: There are no "bad" questions. Only bad askers.
brainrob: who cares?
Loquutus: Sure not.
aramis: no, restricting them is a bad thing. Moderators going in and deleting the nonsensicals wouldn't be bad, tho.
ChaosOrdeal: Uh, questions should be restricted to questions, generally.
_Kael_: Yes, expand. Maybe we can get non-BGGs to answer too
hpox: They are worthy
GuyHill: the latter
obob: heck, far too many of the "questions as such" are already not worthy, let's not open it up to any worse
gt8595b: all or worthy
sourwyrm: more the subject matter that matters
Lord_Prussian: I don't think it's the form of the questions that is the problem. It's the inane subject matter or lack thereof that gets old. A cost of 1 gg or so would cut down on that considerably I would think.
Mike A: Just add a filter so all GeekQuestions have to end in a question mark when submitted. That will fix it.
lwheeler: It's a moot point: any quandary can be framed as a question
meshuggener: There are no stupid questions.
heli: nah
skrutsch: I think some of the other ideas are worthy.
Sceadeau: No
peterk: That's for the fora
ThatFalafelGirl: um, yes?
xlorp: They should be unrestricted and rated, and sortable by rating.
snoozefest: Q's only
Raintiger: No.
2amp: it should be restricted to gaming
midgetsrawk: no, they are worthy
Wintergoblin: not sure
Ludocrazy: No
AlorielLelyn: why restrict it?
kennyb: sounds like a new forum category..or 4
gnomehome: Anything goes
puffinge: They seem perfect as is to me.
HBGlover: I say do what you want. If the admins don't like it, they'll stop it.
Eric Haas: Worthy of what?
BaSL: I'm having enough trouble with this
kimbo: No. But they should be restricted to questions dealing with boardgames.
melissa: No censorship! Let GeekQuestions fly and be free. (I like the other questions)
Glamorous Mucus: How about stories? Here's a true one. Once upon a time a guy named Mike came to an impromptu afternoon of games in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was very fun to game with, and we ended up talking for a bit outside on the street before we left. He said he was from the nearby town of Allegan, and that he normally gamed with people from Kalamazoo. Kalamazoo's a decent sized city, so I asked him, "Hey, do you know or game with a guy named Michael Webb from Kalamazoo? I've had some conversations with him online." Mike told me, "Yeah, that's me."
Blackwind: no
mfrederick: Others seem ok, if they can be answered quickly
MisterCranky: In my estimation, proving that an explanation does not qualify as an answer (therefore implying a prior tacit question) is next to impossible. Mathematically, anyway.
CDRodeffer: I think people should have to pay one GG to ask one question.
darthcliff: Yes.
m_r_tyler: Let's just stick to the stupid questions.
geberus: other ideas are worthy
BobDodgerBlue: Others are worthy
sumo: They are not worthy.
louiseh: Don't restrict anything. It will probably collapse of it's own accord soon anyway.
Flyspeck23: I prefer questions.
djlg: Any type of query or request should be valid (but I'd like a few less requests to prove who shot JFK).
dietevil: Far be it from me to limit the creativity of the idle mind
chaddyboy_2000: No.
dakarp: Hey, it's all for fun--go crazy.
ValJor: Only questions, please
shumyum: Show me how you made that upside down quote!
Shakar: No restriction at all.
Debate: Anything goes
queequeg: all are worthy
skelebone: Only yours should be restricted.
jttm: Anything goes
CortexBomb: I personally enjoy the more freeform nature of some of the "questions" and like the laissez-faire approach that Aldie has taken with the feature so far
