EndersGame: If you could live in any other time period, which would you choose and why?

RealGuest: Ancient Rome probably. Lots of interesting things happening that would be interesting to witness or be a part of in person.

XanderF: Man, I hate people who obsess over this. WHAT other time period? One where the average lifespan is only 45? Where cancer is always 100% fatal? One with no internet? How about before the middle classes existed and you were either born royalty or little more than a slave? Nonono, the present is the only time period to live in barring the possible future (which shouldn't be an option).

Reloaded: I'd love to sample medival Europe... but never live as it was a tough and rough time period.

wiz8mom: Well, the medieval time period has always appealed to me, but when I really think about life in other time periods I would end up choosing none. I can't think of any other time period where women have had the freedoms that we have now and I'm not sure I would be willing to give that up.
