oldhoss: I have never played citadels.
Felimid: Warlord (in the hopes that the player in the lead won't choose Assassin and kill my character).

Woelf: Bishop or Warlord, depending which is available and whether I have more blue or red districts. Merchant and Architect are better roles, but they're always the prime targets for the Assassin and Thief. King is usually safe too.

Salt-Man Z: I like the Architect. But I won't generally choose him when it's obvious that I would -- though sometimes in that case I will, just to throw people off.

wef71: The assassin. Before I pass the cards I arrange them so I know what my opponent picks. (Of course, after they fall into my trap, I confess and then everyone I play with learns to shuffle.)

BilboAtBagEnd: The one that psyches out the current strategy my opponents are employing (or that I think they are employing). Novelty is a plus, because it helps contribute to that effect. Sometimes I carry out little character experiments which don't necessarily have good results for me as a player. All in fun.
