¿Question #845?
TomVasel: Worst box for a game ever?

Fribian: Nations! Way too big.... stupidly big. I'll wait for a reprint, and if it's smaller I might get it. I got it once, but the box was damaged on the outside for the first one, then the second one had a busted insert from components flying around inside it. So I cancelled the order completely.
imyourskribe: Kleenex box taped back up
Narlgoth: Not Busen Memo.
Woelf: Any box that disintegrates the first time you open it.
Occupy Boardwalk: My knowledge of games is pretty small compared to others here, so I do the best I can with this. The first game that came to mind is Dixit. Components are a relatively medium-sized deck of cards, a handful of tokens and some tiny wooden rabbits. That's it. The box is, I think, larger than Ticket to Ride, but just smaller than 7 Wonders. I think they did it that way on purpose to make you think you were getting some grand game for your purchase. Yes, it's a great game, but come on. Cards and a few tiny rabbits? Oh, I see what they did: they turned part of the inner cardboard support of the box into the actual gaming board. Well, there you go! That's justification for a large box: fill up the negative space with a "board." Why not just make the box itself small and throw in a victory point tracker like Quarriors or something? It's awful. Mine's damagede because the game board part is barely larger than the smaller inside box for the components. The shifting around caused a tear and it's just a pain in the backside.
jegan22280: Robo Rally 2e // funny shape
Zamomin: The American version of Munchkin. Seriously, you can probably fit five Munchkin card sets in such a big box!
TrojanDan: Aesthetics or function?
Spirit of 70: Any thin, cheap box that tears at the corner almost instantly.
Hendal: Looks wise or how big it is compared to what is needed? Kayak Chaos has a Giant box - such a waste of space and resources, my only complaint with the game really
chockle: Nippon rails tube
IanthePez: Any box that is too big
DHEK: Oh that looks like the case for one of the games I submitted, a free game called Malaya. Crappiest box ever... if you can even call that a box.
william_henshaw: SPI flat trays they dont store well and damage too easily
Ebon Wendigo: Heroscape, threw away the box almost immediately
Brentoon: god of war, i no u didnt mean video games, but the case doesnt do him justice
KentuckyKid: Loco!
brainrob: El Caballero - it could have been a quarter of the size
Dorque: Heroscape.
hacksword: Ticket to Ride, because it contains the game Ticket to Ride.
Mecoides: Fantasy Flight Citadels
scriptorum: Oltremare, first edition.
KDSN: gamecube
Chris Page: Suspended.
qrux: El Caballero - 99.99% air
mrspank: Busen Memo. Ok, just kidding. That's possibly the best box art ever.
Helenoftroy: Divine right
LemonyFresh: El Caballero
Gialmere: Shadows over Camelot
bigbadsteve: Is there an all white one that says "Game" in black letters?
Edbryan: Basari (Out of the Box edition) Bland and boring...good thing I had already played the game
SteveK2: Oltremare - just too flimsy
BaSL: Revolution is the first I can think of. Or Axis&Allies.
Cavedog_pdx: The Gamemasters series games from Milton Bradley. Big, flimsy, and easily damaged.
Chris Barnard: Medici (Rio Grande version). Ugly box with nothing in it.
Lord_Prussian: British Rails is pretty flimsy
leece: Dungeon
davedanger: majaraja
AWildEep: Puerto Rico... Nothing stay organized.
ThatFalafelGirl: Citadels, wasteful though i guess it's an all purpose Fantasy Flight box
KnobDoctor: Heroscape. Should be telescoping.
2amp: SJ games?
heli: wasn't too crazy about the one for Green Ghost
Nomadik: Doom
dakarp: Maybe Orcs at the Gate, a huge flimsy cardboard box with not much inside.
toulouse: Breaking Away. Crappy art.
Asmoridin: Settlers. The art could use some work...
Tim Synge: Mayfair Games - Settlers of Catan. Why no insert?
RandallPeek: Das Amulett would have to be considered one of the ugliest boxes ever.
puffinge: Anything in a tube or a triangular box.
Cromaa: Age of Mythology
Fawkes: The Age of Steam box is pretty horrid.
Dave: Funkenschlag was pretty flimsy, and unconventioal in its dimensions.
Toxidyne: Maul of a America. The density of the game is essentially zero.
shawn_low: I don't know. I don't buy junk. Wait, maybe all SJ Games?
TiNYTimIDFluffYBunnY: modern art
alfredhw: Heroscape--for near-complete lack of utility.
shippert: My edition of Ra has the least functional insert I've ever seen.
hibikir: Heroscape. If the game doesn't fit back in, there is a problem
gnomehome: MaNiKi - there is no good way of fitting everything in.
Jim_P: The plastic violin case for The Godfather Game
Belash: Keythedral, not only flimsy, but the insert sucks as well.
Grimwold: any CCG...
GuyHill: the video box for some of the early splotter games
Blackwind: never thought about it
MisterCranky: Funkenschlag
bop517: Abalone. Nippon Rails tube.
Ludocrazy: Heroscape
P.O.G.G.: the worst in my collection is Panzer by Excalibre games: the map sheet doesn't even fit inside the box!
sos1: Deep Space Navigator
geberus: TI3
netfilterz: Can only speak for the ones I have... Ra. The tray does not match any of the components...
tp_ryhansen: Settlers of Caatan. Makes it seem uninteresting.
sdownin: Too Many Cooks - either one. The Knizia game is a box of air, the other is a cheap tinfoil pan just itching to fall apart on you.
chaddyboy_2000: Oltremare.
Latria: Abalone
Shakar: Ultimate Quest.
loiosh13: Condottiere (the original huge box - for what is essentially a card game)
Aldie: El Caballero
Spielfreak: The original Funkenschlag
CDRodeffer: HeroScape
ValJor: The shoe box that Gamerdan used to carry KillDog around
TD2008YDS: german version of TTD, WAY TO BIG.
Denise: Wow, there are so many to choose from. I probably hate the Settlers box the most because it would be SUCH a good game to draw in non-gamers if the cover art wasn't so dorky.
ynnen: Quest for the Dragonlords. The thin papery coating cracked and peeled off from the box.
snoozefest: earlier FFG games?
CortexBomb: I don't own it, but Tal der Koenig would drive me crazy with its annoying triangular shape
jttm: AoM, Settlers
Friendless: Gloom
skelebone: Looney Labs tuckboxes are less than great.
