¿Question #91?
ensor: Have you tried to design your own game?

mattomaw: Yes, and it was totally crap.
Woelf: Yes
oldhoss: Started a couple times and ideas fell flat.
LyndonM: Just in my head
aleo09: no i haven't
VikingPrincess: Yes. I actually took a board game design weekend class in college at my university. We had to design two big games, and we had to try to appeal to our audience which was our fellow classmates. So I went with a 'fluff' party game that ended up being a lot of fun and a trivia game based on Ancient Egypt (a lot of the class were future teachers like me, so the theme and style would be good for education) that was a real pyramid. That one won the 'best game' vote, and I ended up with a 100% A in the class. Fun!
pwilz: Yes. It's a trick taking card game that uses the Decktet. I'm sure it's horrible.
Felimid: Yes, but it never came to fruition (I guess I'll end up playing a combo of "Grand Fleet", "War at Sea" and "Victory in the Pacific" instead; which comes pretty close to what I was attempting to do).
beerbear: No but the game I want to have made is really obvious and will likely come out if I wait.
resin: no, I'm creative in music but a performer in games.
bcooperok: Many times. I get through the first couple of test plays and then get bored with developing it further, no fun anymore once it is real work without any novelty.
Der Ubermolch: Many a time. i have at least a dozen half-formed games in my head and computer.
