¿Question #987?
cktjharris: Which requires more patience: explaining a game to someone new or listening while someone explains a new game to you?
Solanum: Listening while someone explains a game to me.
BOBBYCAN: Long winded damn question.
D00MSTALKER: Unfortunately for me it is listening.
Woelf: I do the former frequently so I'm pretty used to it. The latter really depends on the person doing it; some are good at it, some make it excruciating.
cvb81: Explaining a game. I've never been unprepared for a new game.
tankexmortis: Explaining a game, although the patience required is the listener's, not mine.
LancerDeuce: Definitely listening. Though I'm sure I'm just as frustrating to listen to as I explain.

Jbrady: listening
DnDDmDb: I might be biased, but I would say explaining a game to someone takes more patience.
CrusaderX: Equal actually. :)
Felimid: Sounds pretty equal to me. I don't mind having a new game explained to me; it's alot harder for me, though, to explain what's a new game to someone else (unless it's Roll Through the Ages or TransAmerica or Cribbage, and then it's easy).
Gnislew: I think, that there isn't a big difference between both situations. I can be easy to explain a game, if you have a experienced group of player. But on the other side it can be very hard to explain a simple game like UNO, if you have a non-experienced group. Learning a game needs also sometime more and sometimes less patience. This depends on how good the explaining person is. Most times for me both situations need the same patience.
