I was happy for him that he was no longer suffering from the effects of pancreatic cancer, but sad for me because I would never get to see, hug, or tell him I love him ever again. I just learned two weeks ago that a dear friend of mine also has an incurable disease. When I learned that my high school boyfriend had developed brain cancer at the age of 34 and died at the age of 35. At least I was able to see him again before he died. You just wonder how much sadness the heart can take.
