The Message: I'm tempted to say "math puzzle" only due to Sudoku, but is that even really a "math puzzle"? I mean, you could substitute the numbers for other symbols and nothing would change. And other than Sudoku I don't really like any puzzles (And even with the my interest wanes rapidly)... and that, good sir, is my answer.

shteev: Math puzzle. Word puzzles are ok so long as you can apply logic to them. I used to enjoy jigsaws in my 20s but it does my back in doing them these days. I like crosswords least of all; Solving cryptic clues is a completely non-transferable skill, and quick clues are usually general knowledge based, so you either know the answers or you don't.
