¿Question #220053?
PolarDad: Apparently the Polar family is visiting Ireland in 2023. Can the UK survive the invasion? My youngest daughters play in the high school band. Our school has quite a reputation. They were invited to march in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena CA in January 2020. They have now been invited to march in the St Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin in 2023 (they marched there in 2014 as well).

TomTi89: Don't worry, Michael. Despite knowing the difference between Great Britain, the UK, the British Isles, etc, I still slip up on occasion. Can Ireland survive a Polar family invasion? Yes. They're a tough lot. Could Scotland survive such an invasion? Sure could. What about Wales or England? Less sure ;)
Woelf: Time to De-Brexit. Brenter?
Woelf: Time to De-Brexit.
magikaru: That’s hecking neat!
RavingLoon: Bring some mangos, and buy some choco bananas while you're there.
Tim%20Synge: I think this has been picked up already, but Family Polar is going to have do some really careful research about geographical, political and maybe even historical aspects of the UK and Ireland if it wants to stay out of trouble during its visit. Provided Family Polar sorts that out, they'll have a great time. Go, the High School band!
PolarDad: Picky picky y'all. You're right. I was typing this in a hurry and was thinking about extending my question beyond Ireland and Matt and trying to draw in Robin, Tom, et al. In my hurry, I misspoke. Doesn't diminish fun.
pricero1: Unless the band is going to march across the Irish Sea, then there will no impact on the UK. (I'd pay good money to see them march over the sea.)
oriecat: Ireland isn't part of the UK, PD. :p But it will still be a great trip!
