¿Question #220306?
rayzg: Why do so many promotional photos and videos depict people playing games on coffee tables? Playing on a coffee table is so uncomfortable compared to playing on a dining room table – or even a folding table provided that players are seated on proper chairs.

TomTi89: In an ideal world I would only play games in a fully sterile environment with no food or drink around. And everyone would wear gloves. And it would be well-lit. Yes, we would play in an operating room.
Fribian: My theory is they don't want to show that cluttered up game room. Trust me, mine is a pile I can't keep under control anymore.
bakermouse: Marketing teams dont actually play the games?
mattomaw: Real gamers never play on coffee tables!
sparkous: Agree. At home I always play on a table (big enough to have space) ... and never on the floor, it hurts the back.
pricero1: I only play boardgames on my coffee table while sitting on my settee. Not at all uncomfortable.
imyourskribe: I have a friend whose house doesn’t have room enough to fit 4+ people around any table except his coffee table. It’s an unusual way to play, but it works well enough
RavingLoon: I play 95% of my games on a coffee table or the floor.
