PolarDad: What book did you start multiple times before finally getting through? Was it worth it?

Woelf: I've heard the first half of several dozen Boxcar Children (audio)books, because the kids like to listen to them whenever we're driving somewhere for more than a few minutes. A few times I've had to specifically ask to start with the second disc so I could finally hear the ending (they've listened to each dozens of times). The endings aren't usually anything too unexpected, but it's still nice to have closure.

Ruesailmana: The colour of magic and it was worth it for the rest of the series.
RavingLoon: The Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. I read that one mostly in waiting rooms, so I would have to restart occasionally when I would forget what was going on. It was worth it to finish.
