¿Question #224436?
oriecat: Gravity can really be a bitch sometimes, huh?
RealGuest: On the upside, it speeds up time
TomTi89: Yes, but a fun bitch at times!
rayzg: Yes, I agree! I'm taking gymnastics courses now.
mattomaw: I will tell you a story from yesterday. I went to play golf at the club I have recently joined. I have only been there once. Yesterday was the second time. Now, I have no idea as to rules, etiquette, what is frowned upon etc etc at a golf club, so I went with the thought of asking a few questions and to give a good impression. I am naturally very shy, have an inferiority complex, and because of the the way I live, I very much feel like an outcast and oddball in situations with dealing with the world at large. Hence it was pretty tricky to go to this golf club and try and appear normal. The last thing I wanted to do was give a bad or weird impression. So anyway, the course was deserted because they were "sanding the greens" in preperation for the new season. So I thought as my first foray into the club, I would walk right across the course to the practice green. However, as I walked up the path, I realised I would have to walk straight past 8 guys working on one of the greens. Keen to avoid human contact (my usual reaction) I thought I would cross the fairway over to a tee a bit away. I could then play a couple of holes before reaching the practice ground, and avoid having to talk to anyone. This fairway was on a very steep downward slope. The ground was very soggy. And there, bitchy gravity appeared. In full view of all these hard working men, who take great pride in making the golf course beautiful and manicured, I slipped and fell. I slipped and fell so much that I created a huge muddy trough about 8 foot long and 3 feet wide as I careered down this soggy, muddy steep slope, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FAIRWAY! Mud and crap everywhere! Golf clubs everywhere! My whole back, arms, hands, clubs, trolley, all covered in the soggiest, messy mud. A complete mess. And a gaping scar in the middle of the prestine fairway. All in view of the 8 workers who created it. There goes my good impression down the bog!. "Who the hell is that stupid hippy guy trashing everything?" they must have thought. "We don't want the likes of him here!". I gave the worst possible first impression. So yes, gravity can be a bitch sometimes!
oriecat: I can still fly, I just had a takeoff problem last night and smashed my hand into the ground. The swelling should go down in a few days I hope!
PolarDad: Call her what you wish, I still find her very attractive. ;)
MABBY: Yep; with a capital 'B'. Although I guess it beats floating off into space and getting radiated
Woelf: Keep trying! Once you've mastered your aerial class, gravity will no longer be a concern for you.
pricero1: Oh no, Mindy - you're not going to tell us that you can't fly after all, are you?
