¿Question #224626?
Woelf: What are some names you use to address your pets, aside from their actual names? [If you don't have any pets, replace "pets" with "children" or "furniture".]

TheGrimReeple: "Spud" or "googy" (which started out as "good girl", then lost a few letters).
Woelf: "Buddy" is by far the most common, followed by "Kitty". "Dude" gets used sometimes too.
mattomaw: So many. Ot-ot. Hellophelus. Mr.Moo. Moozle. Dooby. Mr.B. Oz Boz. Fatty. and on and on and on and on.
oriecat: Aside from the general nicknames that sound like their actual names - Cooper is often "Little man", Oscar is sometimes "Little dude", Ferny is regularly "Little Crazy" or just "Crazy", and Twinkleton is often "Fatty", "Meowsers" or "Sister".
purplewurple: Proudest moment of my life was when I was on the phone with Stephanie and she was talking to the dogs (Pooper Number One and Pooper Number Two) and she called me Pooper Number Human.
Grimsalt: I had a GF who believed her cat "recognized" it's own name : she'd call "Ju-li-ette" with a certain intonation, and the cat would lift up it's head. Her pride was insufferable, so I decided to test her faith by calling it "Ba-na-na" with the same intonation : surely enough, the animal raised it's head each and every time. We broke-up shortly thereafter.
pricero1: Replacing pets with child: Titch, MiniMed and Buggerlugs are the main ones.
Inkedad: with everyone and everything I simply point at it and say what it is; Dog! Cat! Boy! Wife! Hobo!
MABBY: Hey you! or You son-of-a-bitch!
rayzg: FYI, a "pet" in French is a fart. I love to name my farts in terms of odour intensity and "texture."
