¿Question #226628?
rayzg: How often do you go to independently owned stores to buy your groceries?

MABBY: Specialty items = independent shops. I buy a lot from the Italian market and the Polish bakery (who also sells perogies and sausage).
pricero1: I often use independent butchers and loose-spice shops / stores.
imyourskribe: Very, very occasionally I go to Indian grocery stores. Usually it's for a couple otherwise-difficult-to-find ingredients, but I always pick up some snacks while I'm there
BOBBYCAN: We have a locally owned drug store that sells some food, but it doesn't have a meat dept. or other stuff so it doesn't really work as a grocery store.
Woelf: The local one is good for bread, frozen pizza, and other things we need small amounts of quickly, but for larger orders we use Meijer.
