¿Question #2279?
puffinge: What is the game that you play fairly often with lots of changes to the printed rules?
BOBBYCAN: The computer wont let me do that.
Jrtolf: Lots of changes, none.
Woelf: Vast! But only because I keep changing the printed rules for the expansions...
Narlgoth: Nothing I don't think, I have several home brewed rules sets in creation but not ready to just play with yet, and I make several small house rules to various games.
Grayle84: Axis and allies 1940
resin: Betrayal at House on the Hill
Spirit of 70: Descent.
swmabie: (Carcassonne) Princess & Dragon and The Tower
aleo09: none.
ChonChuuk: Rook
falloutfan: Unpublished Prototype.
Wulf Corbett: A Call to Arms (I'm playtesting second edition :-) )
Wibblenut: Passout
DHEK: I play all games following mostly all, if not all, the printed rules.
fiorebrilliante: Illuminati. Changes both official and unofficial :)
Ansbach: Wiz War
Bearcat89: None of the above.
GrimJester: Tic Tac Toe
CelestialMoonFlower: Monopoly
ellephai: Overthrone.
Benzebub: Settlers of Catan.
greglios: So far I've only ever played one game with a change to the printed rules (or at least a different interpretation of the rules than the official interpretation) and that's Struggle of Empires.
escucheme: Axis and Allies
bigbadsteve: calvinball
Helenoftroy: Wizard Kings and Descent
SisyphusX: None. I play Apples to Apples without asking people to rush, but that's it.
brainrob: None spring to mind
vampywife: Warhammer and Vampire the Masquerade RPG
StormKnight: Warhammer Quest
TheDS: WTF? Since when do you ask sensible questions? Did someone hack your account in an attempt to rehabilitate your image, or did you just suddenly have an attack of sanity? But in answer to your question, I'd have to say the closest I could come would be GURPS. I mostly play computer games since I don't have the option to play with people in person, and you can't really change the rules to a computer game all that often (though I did make a lot of changes to Civ3).
Loquutus: Sadly Twilight Imperium 3rd Edition. The rules are excellent as written, but someone always bitches and moans that the rules suck when actually its their strategy. Oh yeah, boogers.
Tushratta: Kampfgruppe Commander
jpbelang: Intrige
phurballdj: None (may experiment with Pirate's Cove variants)
AbeLincoln: i'm a strictly by the book guy.
javelin98: Axis and Allies (the old edition)
twixter: Well, the printed rules to Twixt are sometimes incomplete.
darthcliff: Talislanta
Johan: Don't play games where I have to change the rules, I'd rather play something that works right out of the box.
Windopaene: Old Entdecker
ssmooth: Several with minor changes, none I can think of with a lot
GuyHill: none
POvidiusNaso: Killer Bunnies.
Megadev: We play Talisman with the Dragon expansion and don't always have the Dragon King for the ending.
The Unbeliever: 42
melissa: The only one we really vary is Carcassonne - we don't score farmers when playing with Biggie
ValJor: I usually always play by the rules
Lord_Prussian: None intentionally, although I've found out on a number of occasions that I've been playing contrary to the rules unintentionally. Citadels most recently and glaringly regarding change of King when the character is assassainated and ability to build duplicate buildings.
skrutsch: I can't think of one.
AWildEep: Pirates cove... rules?
Mike A: Anything with nice bits that I play with my kids. They will make up rules as we go along and I won't know what I'm doing. It's particularly bad with Escape from Atlantis.
nouge: Twilight Imperium 3 - normally I hate screwing with game rules, but somehow that game really lends itself to tweaking
scribidinus: Battle Cry
davidme: Monopoly...at least when we do play...we auction all properties as they're landed on.
ThatFalafelGirl: nothing that i can think of.
heli: don't change that many really
erli: Around the World in 80 Days. I played that 3 different times with 3 slightly different set of rules.
WasQ: Catan
tragicpoet: Magic
MisterCranky: In all honesty, everybody I know is pretty happy with most of the printed rules. We think the rest of you are nuts.
Belash: none
snoozefest: none
skelebone: I don't use house rules for much of anything.
djlg: We used to play Empires in Arms with about 10 pages of house rules, but these days if it doesn't work out of the box, I play something else.
gnomehome: I normally play by the rules.
puffinge: Barbarossa or Beyond Balderdash and its ilk.
AlorielLelyn: Not many except monopoly, and we've been discussing playing it without ANY extra rules.
Dave: N/A
Randy Cox: Maybe Barbarossa
Tim Synge: Well, there are lots of changes to the printed rules in "Age of Steam", but I haven't played it yet.
sos1: Robo Rally - so many changes I can never play outside my group.
CDRodeffer: Reed's Game
jttm: Don't play often, but Betrayal is really bad for this
Blackwind: I dont play games that require lost of changes to the rules.
CortexBomb: Many changes? None of them
chaddyboy_2000: I play by the rules.
