Spirit of 70: Battlestar Galactica. I really didn't expect it to be as good as it turned out to be.
Felimid: "Catan Geographies: Germany" (I lost the first game, figured I had no chance at it, but played a second game, and won, to my great surprise).
Zedsdead: Easy, Shear Panic. It looks like a baby toy, but it plays like a fairly deep, mutable abstract.
Head_Rat: I have never been surprised in any game. I have been surprised by them and by others reaction to them but never IN them.
