fFish: Less Popular. Younger players are more likely to be video gamers. The ideal wargamer is single and in college. Those peeps are video gamers now.

Blott: I have no idea. I've never been involved in the wargaming scene. I would guess that it's slightly less popular now, because people keep themselves so busy that making time for long wargames would be a challenge.
Felimid: Less popular. You can thank the Internet, video games, and cable TV for alot of that. Yes, I like having the Internet and video games are okay (I don't like them as much as I used to), but to the detriment of wargaming? No thanks.

Spirit of 70: I haven't really followed it, but on a guess, I'd say slightly less popular.
Woelf: Wargaming is more popular, but the "traditional" wargamers themselves have become less popular, so it evens out.

Frubgarde: Less popular, I would say. The older players are dying off and I wouldn't have thought there are that many youngsters entering the hobby. That's my call, anyway.

nerotora: More popular. I base that on the number of titles that are published and the quality of the new games. My only concern is that a lot of wargames never get played. But that was always the case.

scribidinus: If by traditional wargaming you mean hex and chit, I'd say less. I was a traditional wargamer and I have a hard time getting roused by the "classic" war game mechanics anymore.

Randy Cox: Well, 15 is an interesting number. 1990 was no banner year for wargames. So it's about the same. But if you compare it with 1975, they are far, far, far less popular now.
