ellephai: Game, though I like both. If I had had any difficulty answering that, which I didn't, here's a potentially deciding factor: I can rent the movie later and watch it myself. Maybe not quite as excellent an experience as going to see it with someone, but I still see the movie, which is at least 90% of the point. However, if I have the choice of playing a game instead of going to the movies, that implies that I not only have a game to play, but I have people to play WITH! This opportunity MUST be seized at once. Never mind the movies.

I prefer the truly social experience of boardgaming to sitting in a movie theatre and handing my money over to people in Hollywood who I don't really care much for. If Hollywood were more about responsible entertainment and less about celebre politics then I might want to see more movies. For the occasional fun movie like "Serenity," I'd make an exception.
