rdmasters: Actually, based on general trends, probably not. Most of the designers who create a truely revolutionary game only ever have one such flash. It does not mean that their subsequent work is bad, just that the market does not respond as favourably. This is probably due to constant comparison to the award-winning/best-selling work. The ones to watch are the ones who get constant nominations... For more information on this sort of effect, read Bellwether, by Connie Willis (who appears to have bucked that particular trend).
