¿Question #268?
sumo: Has Reiner Knizia peaked ?

oldhoss: Haven't we all?
ctimmins: Reiner Knizia is not peaked, but he is zanier & inkier. If you anagram him.
Hendal: Financially or you mean in game newness,
Hellsatyr: No, never! How dare you...well maybe or he is reaching it, but come on, I mean it is Reiner Knizia for god sake....He's the guy.
Felimid: If he has, he's cheating. No peeking, er, peaking.
ColdFrog: Peaked? Peaked? (laughs) Let me tell you something. He hasn't even begun to peak. And when he does peak, you'll know. Because he's gonna peak so hard that everybody in Germany is gonna feel it.
imyourskribe: He's piqued my curiosity.
bcooperok: Goonier Knizle?! Never!
meijerc: Your avatar needs to loose weight.
Septic: Yeah.
muzfish4: No.
ZeroZilla: No, he kept the blindfold securely in place. He's a good sport.
ellephai: Why should he have? He's just a slip of a lad. Great things lie ahead!
acetylcholine: no
PlayMe1: No. His games aren't that great, so I hope his best stuff is yet to come.
BuddhaPhi: I don't think so but he's surely crested a few hills.
The Warp: Reiner is a mathmetician, and since math is infinite, I have no doubt Reiner can keep churning out new equations- give them a theme, and call it a game. And it will probably be fun to play.
El Hidalgo: Just discovered him so I guess not
BobbyChicken: is he a eurogame designer?
edralla: No fair peaking ...
Scammer: One must think that yes, he has peaked
DHEK: Perhaps, but there's nothing to say he cannot peak yet again.
Beyak: no
notquitekarpov: Who knows - and Indian summer could be coming
dominojones: Ask his wife
aleo09: don't know

LemonyFresh: No
Qhorin: Yes
richardolen2: Hope not.
RyanMC: Yes
Stephen Glenn: I hope not.

Loquutus: not even close buddy
mgringo: I didn't know he dropped.
POvidiusNaso: I think he has.
ssmooth: Yes, but I think he'll peak again.

mrbeankc: I don't play it
skrutsch: no
Legend Dan: Peaked and jumped the shark.
matthew.marquand: no
rdmasters: (Taken from another answer...)Actually, based on general trends, probably. Most of the designers who create a truely revolutionary game only ever have one such flash. It does not mean that their subsequent work is bad, just that the market does not respond as favourably. This is probably due to constant comparison to the award-winning/best-selling work. The ones to watch are the ones who get constant nominations... For more information on this sort of effect, read Bellwether, by Connie Willis (who appears to have bucked that particular trend).
arkibet: and crashed...
edosan: No, but Alan Mooned (ha ha!)
Bahamut-X: Dunno, still have to try many of his games
The Unbeliever: 42
TMJJS: no
bluebehir: Perhaps you could ask him.
puffinge: probably not, even if he has, he's got lots of good games left in him that fall just short of his peak.
e.c.r.: yes
heli: doubtful, but it doesn't matter anyway. creation of just one game is the achievement of a lifetime and he's done it more than once.
Nick Danger: Nope, just chasing after the bigger paycheck. (not that there's anything wrong with that)
Favre4MVP: Not yet. I predict he'll put out a game in 2006 that will end up in the top 5 on BGG.
Randy Cox: Was he climbing?
Lord_Prussian: Probably, but I hope not
abimilech: Sexually or otherwise?

DangerMouse: Hmmm, maybe. I hope not.
darquil: No, his ideas are evolving.
geberus: nope
darthcliff: Not at me, my shower doesn't have any windows
Ludocrazy: No
djlg: No. I suspect if he dropped the quantity, the quality might improve.
PghArch: No, I think not. Most creative work gets better with age. I think there are still lots of tricks up those sleaves.
BobDodgerBlue: No
HMS_Resolution: Never really cared for him, so can't answer objectively.
phantomvortex: No, I don't think he's a voyeur. :)

EYE of NiGHT: Knizia is not linear, he is cyclical. His games get re-issued again and again, often with tweaks and make-overs. Hence no peak.
shotokanguy: yes
daw65: He's certainly evolved. Whether there's been a peak, and where that peak might be, is a matter of taste.
HBGlover: I'd say so. He's going to have to get increasingly esoteric to remain original.
MisterCranky: Yes, quite some time ago, actually. Fortunately there's a continually refreshing pool of people to be excited by his ouevre.
Ryno8: nah
snoozefest: no
louiseh: I doubt it
Zambogirl: remains to be seen
