¿Question #4073?
chaosbreaker: If your house was on fire, which one game would you save and why?
Hector Vortac: Agricola because it has pieces personalized by my friend Ryan Wheeler, not replaceable. Hey folks, I'm pretty sure the parameters of this question include that your whole family including pets is safe, and that you have this magic portal the fire has offered you in which you will not burn to death but still must pick one game... okay, new parameter: if you don't pick a game within 5 minutes your family and everything else already safe will perish instead.
Fennic: The Great Fire of London 1666...so I could deploy the fire brigade cones
Felimid: Super Scrabble ... I love word games.
Woelf: I'd save the kids first, and then the cats if they didn't run and hide somewhere inaccessible.
Gaymer808: Arkham Horror, because it's my fave.
Jatoha: I would save my children first, my ratties second and our photos third
weed131: probably Dune, the most difficult to replace, it's all insured though
Spirit of 70: Divine right, because it would be the most difficult to replace.
Zukar: Call
Zedsdead: None. I'd collect the insurance money and get them all new.
Wes Hope: carcassonne because it would cheer me up, and i keep all the extra sets i've bought in one big box, so by saving that 'one', i'd actually be saving several. saddo
dogzard: No games. They're fun, but there are more important things in life. (Heresy!)
MotUfan: Heroscape, it would keep me entertained the longest while living in a hotel.
arkestra: Go -- because that sucker cost WAY too much to loose. Ever.
kilroy_locke: D&D Minis (my collection)
msstep: none of them. because it's just cardboard
urban: Descent... casue its the most expensive.
Ebon Wendigo: Talisman...memories
DHEK: Maybe Caylus. Because it's a good game and it's still pretty new to me so I'll get quite a lot of gaming out of it still.
otrex: I would run in and grab a game that uses a fire extinguisher. At least that way I'm saving a game and helping out the firefighters at the same time.
eduart: Colditz because it's OOP
Cmot Dribbler: My munchkin box, cause it's got like 5 games in it!
POvidiusNaso: Wallenstein. Expensive and I like it a lot.
aleo09: not sure
dsmeyer: None, I can get them again
kavey: Puerto Rico. Because I've brought more friends into my heavier gaming hobby with this game than any other I have.
goon: san andraes
SybotCB: I wouldn't save any game, I'd find my family first.
purvisa: ME:CCG because it would be the most difficult to replace
Cut & Space: I'd save my self before
davek: Die Macher; hardest to replace, and I haven't played yet
tmcconville: Alhambra, because I don't own a house, and I may accidently DESTROY the game I try to "save".
deacondavid: My great-grandmother's Mah Jongg set. Family heirloom and sentimental reasons. Commercial games, no matter how rare (and I have plenty of rare ones), can not compete.
ellephai: Courtisans, because I can't replace it. In fact, my brother really wants a copy, but I can't get anyone to sell me one (hint, hint!).
Beelzebub: Outpost - It is mint and unpunched and my insurance will replace the rest.
bigbadsteve: i was gonna ask this
frieque: Dawn Patrol. Probably the most difficult to replace of my favourite games.
vampywife: i think i would worry more about other things and buy the games over later.
jasta6: Forget the games, save your family dude........you must have your priorities right…………………..
Nekura: Black box Nuclear War. Because it's old and signed by Rick Loomis.
scriptorum: I'm pretty sure I'd save my dog, two cats, and laptop before I'd go into the basement and pick one out of 160 games from the shelf. Furthermore, there's no game I have that isn't replaceable somehow. Either I can find it on eBay, or in Germany, or make my own set with cooperation from other Geeks. Besides which, I would spend so much time trying to decide which to pick that I'd probably fail to escape the house before it was totally consumed by fire. That's what I'm thinking right now, while I'm trying to pick a game to answer your question: while I'm here thinking, the house is on FIRE. It's ON FIRE!! Sorry, love em, but I'll rebuild the collection after I get the insurance check. Wait. Did you start the fire?
Shotmagnet: burned to death trying to decide
Helenoftroy: Shakespeare, what a sad thought
hellsbishop: I'd save the game where I didn't die. Why? So I could play other more entertaining games.
kinetic: heroquest - nostalgia
brainrob: DdW
jimv: Advanced Civilization--it's my favorite game, and it's out of print.
korppu: Doom - painted miniatures
casrina: Talisman, because it was so bloody expensive.
richdknows: ??
SatanicEssence: TI3, costs the most
GeminiWeb: wotr ... no magic realm ... no titan ... no TTR/TTRE ... no Puerto Roci ... no Power Grid ... aarggh! At least they are in in the garage and ready to go ...
sedjtroll: Sadly, I'd probably put out the fire or die trying.
Cavedog_pdx: Hannibal - it's nearing irreplaceable and it's a blast!
Leisuregames: Lost Cities, because my wife would send me back in for it if I chose anything else
Randy Cox: If I were to even bother, it would only be because I was exiting via the game room. If I had any extra room and plenty of time, I'd probably just grab whatever was nearby on the way out the door.
javelin98: Dirtside -- my favorite game.
djlg: None. I've got a tonne of stuff I'd be saving before ANY game.
jellospike: the ones I made myself. Because I can't just buy them back.
skrutsch: Assuming family and pets are safe, I'd probably grab our Mayfair Cosmic Encounter set. It can't be replaced and it's one of my all time favorite games. Also, I know where it is.
snoozefest: it's all replaceable .. i guess Magic 'cause there's a lot of it and it may have some value
Lord_Prussian: I'd probably save something or someone else rather than a game, because all the games I have can be replaced as far as I know
chaddyboy_2000: Pitchcar, it was expensive.
CDRodeffer: Go -- it's the one my wife and I play most often.
skelebone: I'd probably nab the World Map version of Acquire, since it's worth the most, and the others are replacable or are still in print. But if my house was on fire, I wouldn't grab any, since all my games are in my apartment.
CortexBomb: One game...Age of Steam with Expansions (they are all in the one box)
sourwyrm: rail baron, cause it's worth the most
jttm: The expensive non-replacable ones?
