For those open minded souls, I recommend Craig Werner's A Change is Gonna Come: Music, Race, and The Soul of America for a small but significant bit of info on him along with everybody else in the music world!

puffinge: Born to Run is the best. Dancing in the Dark is also excellent. He has several songs I loathe, especially the type of song featured on Nebraska.
