¿Question #4275?
Randy Cox: Which do you prefer: sitting around chit-chatting with friends or playing a game with those friends and talking about mostly insignificant stuff along with game related conversation?

Woelf: The latter.
Felimid: The latter.
Spirit of 70: The later.
ricardofo: the latter
gordon1018: the second part
DasViktor: "shut up and roll the damn dice". Answer your question?
Nikku: Gaming of course!
Der Ubermolch: Chat plus game is almost always better than chat sans game
Actorios: Tough question: answer 1 should be a no brainer... But sometimes, you need your dose of gaming...
sjwk: Bit of both really, depends on time
mansonc: the latter
metor2: Depends on my mood. Mostly the latter, but not always.
gmcash: gaming
puffinge: both are good, but more often I would choose to play a game
DKahnt: hmmm... game related stuff
tonetonitonyrussell: the latter
Morgan: Playing a game.
kpetzing: game with chat
Butterbane: Playing a game while sitting around chitchatting
Ebon Wendigo: Playing
DHEK: Playing a game and chit-chatting, of course!
Brentoon: chit chatting i think
POvidiusNaso: The first, unless it's a party game.
tagger418: The later
medrian: Depends on my mood.
jeffwolfe: the latter
Blacknightjj: playing a game of course
ZiggyZambo: the latter
KentuckyKid: playing a game.
prolifekilledmywife: Isn't chit-chatting usually about mostly insignificant stuff?
vampywife: the game one, hehe
bigbadsteve: the latter
Ripkil: the latter
XanderF: Well, just sitting around chit-chatting...sounds kinda pointless. Make it at a restaurant or pub with drinks...then that's a viable alternative. SO...the question as asked would be answered with the second option.
sourwyrm: neither -- a game with a mix of significant and insignificant conversation
brainrob: The latter
thoia: B I suppose. I mean if I'm sitting around chit-chatting, why not play a game as well.
Dorque: Gaming.
Larac: Both are great, but the second I enjoy more most of the time
scriptorum: A balance is nice. Sometimes a game is just a good excuse for friends to gather and chit-chat.
Gwahlur: Like both, but if we have enough time a game adds context.
mlanza: At times both. I love playing games and, sometimes, that's what I want to do. Is that so wrong?
Shotmagnet: depends on if the meds have kicked in yet
Nekura: Gaming, always
jasta6: the Later.........................................................................................................................
Evil HummingBird: the second one
ben_ethus: Playing the game obviously. It's a two-for-one deal.
Chris Page: #2.
Loquutus: Playing a game.
bekudno: I'd rather play a game than sit around talking about insignificant stuff, but I like not playing games and talking about real things also.
Ivan DBA: I honestly don't understand people who don't like games. What is the point of a game-less life? ;) Seriously though, I don't think I'm that nerdy, but I would almost always have a game as the core of any social setting.
Tushratta: The latter.
RonStock: The latter
Fawkes: Having a meaningful, intelligent conversation with friends, whether at the game table or otherwise.
JCooperofCharity: the game
Odat: That last one, there. For me one of the most important aspects of gaming is the interaction with other people.
skrutsch: the latter
MisterCranky: Why does Cleary say nobody complains about you? Consider this answer my complaint.
The 17th Ogre: The latter. I mean, come on. Really now. Ask a silly question....
djlg: Playing a game with those friends and talking about mostly insignificant stuff along with game related conversation.
Dave: The latter. Things get kinda awkward when we try to do the former.
Favar: playing a game with friends and chat about game related topics
notquitekarpov: the latter, if everyone like games
jttm: Doesn't matter.
CortexBomb: If by chit-chatting you mean it in the traditional sense of mindless banter then I would generally rather play a game. If said friends and I have the chance to talk about something meaningful (life, metaphysics, whatever) then I would prefer the conversation
CDRodeffer: Playing a game, because the chit chat isn't any less significant.
Lord_Prussian: Depends, the latter is fine as long as the game doesn't get in the way of the talking and vice versa. Otherwise, better to just chit chat and put away the game.
Spielfreak: The latter. I'm a geek.
skelebone: Games are good.
chaddyboy_2000: The second part.
