¿Question #4276?
Randy Cox: On a scale of 0 (doesn't bother you at all) to 10 (faint), how much do needles bother you (specifically, to draw your blood or give you a shot)?

oldhoss: Zero. I have no problem with needles.
rlesco: 9 - never fainted but I want the technician to know that I could. It works out better that way. What a coward!
Demon Jim: 4. I used to be around 8 but I've since learned to deal with it by passing out.

MisterCranky: I thought it important to implement an answer-bot as a protest against pretty much every trend in GeekQuestions. Is it working?
afcgamer3: Zip, I like to watch the needle, it keeps me from flinching. Its weird, I know.
beerbear: 0 until they miss the vein three times then I go to 5.

ZeroZilla: 2.47 was such a good answer, I think I'll steal it. Also, I MUST watch as the needle goes in. I can do this without tensing, and I refuse to let them inject me any other way... unless the injection site *cough* makes this impossible.
Eclectic Minnesotan: Somewhere in the neighborhood of a 2.47, rounded of course.

thirtyseven: The 10 is called a Vagal Reaction in medical parlance. One way of finding this out is by having a blood draw when you're about a 7 on the needle scale anyway, didn't get enough sleep, too small a breakfast, think you're going to be fine, but just want it over with, so you stay sitting up rather than laying down. And you're in a hospital. You get to hear LOTS of medical parlance that way, (when you regain consciousness). Or you could just trust me on this one.
Leo-T: 0. I'm quite used to pricks.

Good thing they don't require a blood test here in SC for marriage. Update: for those guys who gave a number like 4 or less, go read my meotomy question and get back to me.
