ocdspectrum: Sega Genesis.
BOBBYCAN: I used to put mine on the coffee table.
pricero1: They have all passed me by. Aren't they just for kids?
Krazyman Karg: best was the Atari it was windows before Microsoft ! guess you kind of needed to be there.
esbegan: Xbox! and PC
uglifruit: the 'best' is the one with which you engage most. arguing technical merits is somewhat pointless. that being said, the ZX Spectrum had an incredibly diverse range of software that I enjoyed. My vote goes there.
MartinWin: PC.
senorcoo: Original Xbox.
Tom Good: windows
Woelf: Atari 2600
Gamesmeister99: PS2
DeePee: I'm a fan of Nintendo. I have no basis other than fandom for this choice.
jessitron: Nintendo

Numskull: PlayStation 2 due to huge software library and backwards compatability with the first PlayStation. Note, this is the biased opinion of a guy who doesn't play many video games that aren't RPGs.
Junichirou: Depends what you are looking for. I'd probably say the Nintendo Wii overall, with the Xbox 360 in second, and the PS3 dead last.
Narlgoth: I would like to support Nintendo (did to all through my childhood) but to be honest Playstation is probably better now. :- (
RandallPeek: Wii. While it may not be the most technologically advanced, its novelty and accessibility makes it a great gateway device.
gmcash: I prefer PS, but everyone has their favorites
KrisVerbeeck: PS3
thedude05: Xbox
DHEK: I hear PS2 is the best overall of the lot.
