¿Question #4557?
DonO: Have you ever been stranded on a desert island for more than a week, or do you personally know anyone who has, or are you aware of any documented cases of this actually happening in real life? If so, what games and music did they choose to have with them? I'm getting scared that there are so many GeekQuestions about this (at least 4 prior to THIS question) and wondering if I should be thinking about what games and music to take with me. I mean...I'm going to know ahead of time before this happens to me so I can pack this stuff, right? And the island is going to come with spare batteries or compatible and powered AC connections for my CD player, isn't it? And of course I can count on a few other people stranded with me to be gamers with compatible gaming interests and playing styles, can't I?
BOBBYCAN: Don't worry, be happy.
Blott: I vote for Don to be kicked off the island.
pethulhu: yes
xofour: If you are going to make reservations anyway I would suggest being stranded on a dessert Island. Sure you gain a little bit more weight, but it is still a much more pleasant week. YMMV
galenochfarlig: Maybe you need to talk to someone?
Narlgoth: Dude, I think those questions about being stranded on a desert island are only hypothetical... wern't they? O my god! What happens if its true and BGGs are being secretly abducted and placed on desert islands!? What the hell for!? I just know I'll end up on an island with a load of dumb non-gamers who don't even know what ameritrash is and probably can't hold a conversation for more then a few seconds, and I'll probably end up drawing a face on the front of my copy of Arkham Horror using my own blood and talking to it like Tom Hanks does with that ball in Castaway! :- (
Boot2daHead: No.
Joseph Hill: no to all
kjdaiisha: No. And I once created a chess board and pieces from scratch while on a campout.
KSensei: Well Bob, as a matter of fact I have been stuck on a deserted island. Me and 4 others. Perfect for a game of Carcassonne. But we didnt have Carcassonne. We didnt even have any food. The only game we played was who could eat who first. I won.....
DHEK: Yes, pumpkin... everything will be all a-okay. Don't you worry about them savages and such on the island. Bubba will take care of you. He takes real good care of little boys and girls...

ZombyDawg: My car broke down and I got stranded in northern Idaho on the 4th of July one year for about four hours and I didn't have any games. It sucked. Hope this helps.
POvidiusNaso: I wouldn't worry about it.
javelin98: Okay, time to switch you to decaf...
consolewa: I didn't even finish reading this question. Too many words, bro.
djlg: No. NA. Right. Yes. Yes.
puzzleme: A thoughtful question (comment) for a change!
Null Signature: Forty-two llamas and an emu.
jttm: Geez, leave it to a geek to dream up CDs and games on an island. I want a group of lesbian cheerleaders to be trapped on a island with me...
GrandpaDave: I'm not reading all that
DonO: Niagara would be really cruel if the island doesn't have fresh running water. We'd have to do all that hard work of digging to find the big crate of beer packed in dry ice that is certainly buried somewhere.
CDRodeffer: No, no, n/a, you're crazy, right, not likely.
skelebone: Once I was stranded on a deserted island (BTW, a desert island would have nothing growing on it, and one would quickly die there due to lack of sustenance), but I was never rescued, and died there.
chaddyboy_2000: I'm not reading this entire question.
Lord_Prussian: Exactly
Spielfreak: Will you go already? And take all copies of Niagara with you, please.
