Gialmere: True Life Gaming: Have you ever played a game that's highly ranked at BGG only to find that you hate it? Did you post your true feelings about it, or did you just go along with the group out of fear of being flamed?

Methos_: Hapenned a few times. I usually post about it in my colletion's comment and give the game a low grade.

Lord_Prussian: I don't have any problem expressing my feelings about a game, highly ranked or not. There have been lots of highly ranked games that I don't care much for.
Woelf: There may have been a high-ranked game or two that didn't really hold my interest, but a game has to be a real stinker for me to hate it enough to complain about it on BGG.
DasViktor: I haven't ran into one of those yet. I would hope my fellow BGGers would understand that not all gamers like all games.

idiot crow: Well, I didn't hate it, but wasn't all that impressed either.
Daeval: Played Puerto Rico once and, though it was ok, I wasn't blown away. Granted, it was late and with a group that's full of suckers for theme, so I want to give it another shot. I still haven't rated the game.
ValerieF: Haven't had it happen yet, but I'd probably write my true feelings, I don't care about flame wars, they're actually fun, mostly!

DHEK: Yeah I hate some highly-rated games. T&E is one. Modern Art is another. If someone asked what I thought of them, I'd tell the truth. It's my opinion anyway. I'm sure for every game, no matter how well liked or highly-rated it is, there will be some who will not enjoy it for a variety of reasons.

Helenoftroy: I rated it and gave my imput in different areas. I was flamed but it's a beginning of an interesting debate if you don't take it personal. I love the "You are obviously not playing this right" answer.
