¿Question #4587?
Gialmere: True Life Gaming: Have you ever had a friend bring a game to your game-night that really sucked but you lied and said it was pretty good just to spare his/her feelings?
BOBBYCAN: Yes. Then I brought him to a back room and strangled him.
Woelf: No
Caerid: Nope
Bluto: Nope. Generally we are pretty clear about what is a good game and what is not.
Harkonnen13: Never. I think there's people who don't want to play with me because I talk smack about games I don't like.
Polgara: no
PimpMC: Definately not. If it sucks, they shall hear about it.
jtj608: NO.
yoda31419: No, so that makes sure that they don't bring it again.
TMuscle: Well... yes. I didn't want to be rude.
atrium: I may have once, but now would be more likely to politely explain why it isnt a fun game to play
bill_andel: Only if it was his/her own prototype.
lone: yes
DHEK: Nope. Though I don't think I'd lie about what I really thought if it did happen though.
Benzebub: Nope.
darcyj2: No.
Eric Haas: No
DGSI: yeah
Azzarc: Nope, would say it was OK.
Brentoon: There are no emotions in games...and because there are no emotions, those with emotions are not spared from emotional pain
POvidiusNaso: Yes.
Leo-T: nope - we call 'em as we play 'em
TStar: No, but since I´m the one who ownes most games I experienced this the other way round.
pitferret: Nope, we play it straight up in our group. But we do request "constructive criticism". You can't just get away with stating "This sucks and I don't like it."
bigbadsteve: no, but it could happen
dmomo: Can't think of one.
tibi09: no
Chris Page: Nope.
XenoMaster: No
vampywife: no
Helenoftroy: yes but it was a gift too.
Steeledragon: no, i would tell him it sucked in a nice way.
Unitbuster: Yeah. Friggin' Pirate's Cove. Of course, even he knew what was going on because that game sucks that bad.
djlg: No.
Kazin: No. Then I'd have to play it again.
rawdawg: hell no, I tell it how it is
janiera: No
aramis: No. But I have refused to comment in such situations.
brainrob: Never - if it's keich it's keich.
billgoode: There's one guy who almost always brings Risk 2010 in hopes that the rest of us will for some reason have changed our minds that Risk is the devil. Oh, in answer to the question, no, I'll tell the truth.
tipigi: no, I'll be honest.
acetate3: No. I would speak the truth, just not harshly.
Cavedog_pdx: You mean like a prototype that they designed?
puffinge: I'm usually pretty honest, to the point that I get on people's nerves about how much I dislike some games.
nm156: No
willow19460: No
Domokun: Nope, too honest.
GuyHill: no
scriptorum: No.
ssmooth: Well, it wasn't *that* bad a game.
jttm: I don't understand
Dave: We don't hold anything back from each other.
chaddyboy_2000: No.
Lord_Prussian: No
skelebone: Sure not. If a game sucks, I'm going to say it sucks.
CDRodeffer: No. Our gaming group regularly does play testing, and if a game sucks, we're honest enough to say so. That way the game can be improved.
CortexBomb: No, I really don't spare their feelings on that sort of thing, because if they think I actually liked it they might be under the mistaken impression I would like to play it again. Man, if you can't get the truth from your friends who can you get it from?
Spielfreak: Um, yup. And the kicker is, he designed the game. Oops!
