¿Question #4810?
puffinge: Have you ever changed the lyrics to a song on purpose to make them funny? Please share.

oriecat: You mean like this contest I won like 15 years ago? http://misssuzy.tripod.com/chi/copetition11.htm
Narlgoth: 2 Unlimited- "No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, There's no Lyrics!" :- D
Spirit of 70: I have. One set of lyrics are actually posted here in the Arkham Horror forms.
kathleenryan: Yes. I used to make fun of the Bee Gees and Carpenter muzak. And you come to me on a summer breeze morphed to And you come to me on a submarine. And the Carpenters were so syrupy sweet I'd gag along as they be singing, though I didn't really change any words. I'd just laugh.
Steerpike.Instance: all the time. too many to list.
rockin_on05: some people do, im not the best at it, but in the past i would make up words i thought the lyrics were cause i couldnt understand them :P
pusherman42: I want to be your clam chowder.
tickmanfan: B-L-T's they're dynamite. B-L-T's and i'll take a bite. B-L-T's by the motherload. Watch me eat loaaaaads
mcguffin: All the time but I share it at the moment.
WatchmanX2000: yes. no.
chockle: I'll never leave your pizza burnin' -Rolling Stones
Geekymike: many times
MotUfan: There's a church hymn entitled, "How Great Thou Art". It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what I changed it to. It went downhill from there.
ctrzn: who hasn't
Chrisgmay: no
DHEK: Not really. There are many other people who do that, and some for a living. I'd just listen to their efforts instead of trying my own.
elirlandes: Certainly not.
Butterbane: All the time ... I get really bored at work sometimes and rewrite songs and then teach them to my co-workers (just to annoy & entertain the bosses). But we're all telemarketers, I don't know if you'd enjoy one of our little songs. However, just in case, here's one. To the tune of "If you're happy & you know it". Oh, I wish I were a telemarketer. Oh, I wish I were a telemarketer. I'd call you Monday thru Friday, twice on Saturdays & Sundays. Oh, I wish I were a telemarketer!
Penguin_Hatcher: Yes, and im proud because on the spot i changed the lyrics to carry on my wayward son to something about he CIA chasing me while it was playing in a car.
aleo09: yes, can't think of anything
Gamegrunt: "She was strummin' my thing with her fingers" Killing Me Softly by Roberta Flack
buffalospynovel: Come on baby, inflate my tire.
Son of Murray: Yes, but the best example I can think of right now belongs to my father. "My Sharona" = "My Corona" (as in the beer)
dmomo: Yes. No.
ZombyDawg: I do it every day. I share them all the time. Slighty out of tune, too.
Cut & Space: I always do... In a little show in my english class we've done a top 10 at high school with songs like Flush me (Samantha Fox), Born in the baloney (Bruce Springsteen), Smelling though (NKOTB) amongst others
W Eric Martin: The Cranberries had a classic in "Did you have to sniff my finger?"
eddyspaghetti: "He' lovin, he's touchin, he's squeezin, your brother. Now its your turn girl to cry."
Cromaa: Yes. No.
heli: Many times. One that comes to mind: do you remember that Linda Ronstadt hit "Love is a Nose but You Better Not Pick It..."
rawdawg: lick me where I fart, when I'm taking a poop, lick me where I fart, and then rip my skin flute, I don't know who your blowin, but I bet its a guy, lick me where I fart, right on my brown eye. "Listen To Your Heart" By some chick
hildo: yes
FrozenHoHos: Of course, and it's far to lewd to include here.
bluebehir: Yes. It's a long story, but myself and a friend of mine were getting sick and tired of hearing the same band/song over and over again while on a road trip so we started bagging the song to the tune OF the song. So the driver changed song and we took the piss out of THAT song too. He finally gave in, and let us put decent music on.
MattDP: Let's talk about FISH baby, let's talk about John Dory, let's talk about all the good things and the bad things in the sea, let's talk ab-out FISH, let's talk about FISH!
brainrob: Yes - and no, I can't be bothered
RyanMC: This may be your best question ever, but I can't think of a good answer
klellingson: No.
janiera: No... accidentally changed Junk Jivin' to Drunk Driving cause I couldn't understand the lyrics... My husband can't get that one out of his head...
TiannaStarfall: Yes. The funniest lyric change was done by Elvis at a live gig "Do you gaze at your bald head and wish you had hair" in are you lonesome tonight, he then cracked up and laughed the whole way through the rest of the song, the backing singers somehow kept going. Hillarious, always makes me laugh out loud when I hear it.
POvidiusNaso: A ton of them. The one I like best was one I actually shared with a guy who wrote in to baseballprospectus.com, to the tune of Sublime's "Santeria": I don't Edgar Renteria / I don't Rafael Furcal / I had Luis Gonzalez / and I had Mike Lieberthal
javelin98: Once made up lyrics to the tune of "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom", but can't remember them now
melissa: constantly. Most of the wiggles songs about numbers have scatological versions at my house. (Number two, number two, number two did a great big ... you get the idea)
puffinge: Put your sweet lips a little closer to the bone (instead of phone). And 2 that other friends passed on to me: You came and you took control, you touched my heiny hole (instead of very soul), and You don't have to say you love me, just pull down your pants (instead of just be close at hand). Very mature, eh?
scriptorum: Was your father as bold as a sargeant major? Well how come he told you that you were hardly old enough yet? And Jet, I thought the major was a little lady puffingette. Jet!
wiz8mom: Yes, I do. Mostly I do it for/with the kids - they get a kick out of it, but my husband thinks my new "songs" are lame.
xlorp: Usually what I mis-hear of the lyrics in the first place is funnier than anything I could make up.
djlg: No
jttm: I leave that to Weird Al.
chaddyboy_2000: Not really.
CortexBomb: Nope
skelebone: That's all I do. One of my favorites was Pearl Jam's "Better Man" lyrics changed to "Can't find a bedpan," with a whole urine theme throughout.
Lord_Prussian: Should I Shave or should I grow now?/If I shave there will be stubble/If I grow there will be double
CDRodeffer: Yes, but I don't think I want to share.
Randy Cox: Some day, I'll have to give you the lyrics to "The Devil Went Down On Georgie"
