¿Question #49?
Karlsen: If your significant other is not a gamer (as much as you anyway) do you wish you could convert them?

Jrtolf: She does okay.
JLPreiser: Nope. She has her hobbies, I have mine.
Socialchaos: Yes, I tried and try but have resolved to just be a solo gamer primarily.
imyourskribe: Fortunately not a concern in my household
oldhoss: While I would like it if she enjoyed games as much as I do, she plays enough with me that I won't complain. Also, it's good to have a few separate interests.
Pithagoras: You bet!
weed131: of course
resin: ah, but she is. In the past, a non-gamer s.o. was fine so long as she didn't resent it.
bcooperok: Nah, after 20 years of marriage she has her side of the table, I have mine.
vandemonium: I don't wish to convert anyone to anything. You are what you are man.
DasViktor: Yes, very much so.
beerbear: I don't think she is as interested in board games because of this silly thing called sanity.
Felimid: My girlfriend *is* a gamer. But if she weren't, I would hope I wouldn't act as if it were the end of the world.
Solocutor: I wish I could convert one of my board games into a significant other. Hiyo! Seriously though, I've got nobody.
dietevil: Well, I tried that but it didn't work. Luckily, now I'm with a gamer who will play with me anytime, anywhere. *loves*
TMuscle: Yes.
xlorp: The power of Catan compels you, the power of Catan compels you!

jtrleone: definitely
CardboardCultist: My Partner could never be as big a gamer as I -- but she is a puzzle fiend, and wins as (or more) often than not. The contest makes her more than willing to oblige enough for my tastes and is really open minded about the games she'll play. To have a lovely mate that will play arkham horror for 6+ hours even two or three times a year is awesome!
michely: Yes, have you found a cure?
DHEK: Yeah, of course! I definitely would try.
Butterbane: Sometimes --- but then nothing would ever get done!
biggdork: Of course!
dragonewtking: convert them to what?

Flyspeck23: No. Because if I'd need to convert her first, she wouldn't be my "significant other".
shumyum: I feel blessed with what I have (an occassional-gamer wife), but that doesn't mean I'm not raising our kids to be *complete* bggeeks!
