puffinge: When playing Stratego, have you ever placed your flag in the middle of the front row with no protection? Did you ever win with this strategy?

MaksimSmelchak: Yes. Yes. I have tried this and actually won doing it, but more often than not, putting your flag in the front row is not a good idea.
seretur: I place it often (in the beginning of my play). Perhaps because my first game I won with this strategy (the only one). But I think my oppponent was worst than my strategy ;-)
