¿Question #176?
Sexy Amy: What is your favorite movie music score?

PolarDad: Star Wars
imyourskribe: Judging by what I whistle the most, Jurassic Park. The actual answer is probably Star wars.
oldhoss: Here's what comes to mind right away: Star Wars, Jaws, Pink Panther, and The Godfather.
Shockpulse: "Coraline".
Felimid: "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" by John Williams.
bcooperok: Schindler's List
ricardofo: 10
kathleenryan: Jaws
Grimpick: 10
jessitron: gattaca, maybe. i don't listen to them much.
djwyattwood: Sweeney Todd. But that's a musical.
Fred West III: Suspiria.
IdahoGeekette: Fiddler on the Roof and Wicker Man (1973 version)
puffinge: Out of Africa and Somewhere in Time come to mind.
Numskull: The Order (Yes, that stupid Heath Ledger film)
Rosebud: Recently, I'm crazy about Moulin Rouge. Ruling out all classics, I'd say that one.
Narlgoth: The entire Fight Club soundtrack- it's weird but cool :- 1
Frubgarde: Stewart Copeland's soundtrack to Rumblefish.
itjoe: Last Exile. List to the soundtrack, and you'll love it.
chitshappen: The Believers by J. Peter Robinson, among others.
shteev: Morricone's The Thing. I don't think I'd sit and listen to it outside the scope of the film.... but who listens to film scores, seriously?
Geosmores: Halloween
Boot2daHead: 10-9 (in extra innings)
dogzard: LadyHawk
blindspot: Trainspotting
zott: LOTR or Jurasic park

Chris Page: Alexander Nevsky. (The music was so good that after the director heard it, he decided to re-shoot the movie to better match the music.)
Sisyphus1563: Amazon.com
DHEK: Hmmm... there was one but I can't remember what movie it came from... ah nevermind! The music scores from Dances With Wolves are pretty high up on my list as well, so I'll just say that.

sfessey: Paris, Texas by Ry Cooder. Much imitated but never bettered. If you've ever tried to pick up a guitar, open tune it and waggle a bottleneck on it you'll know how mournful it can sound. What you don't know, until you have heard this soundtrack is just how much it can make you feel desperate solitude anytime, anywhere - and that can be just what you need sometimes.
Ivan DBA: Les Miserables (the movie with Liam Neason, not the musical) Like several other submissions to this question, a Basil Poledouris score. Others of his that I like: Conan the Barbarian, Starship Troopers (truly excellent music, horrible movie!), Hunt for Red October
